The regional exhibitors at the event and numerous lecturers gave insights into their solutions. With the "Passau Declaration", the EU transport ministers want to shape the future of European mobility in order to make the potential of digitization and artificial intelligence usable for all EU citizens and to establish Europe as a pioneer in digital mobility. AKE technologies presented the joint research project with TZE Landshut on the subject of high-speed battery production using electrospinning - a process that aims to make battery technology cheaper, safer and more efficient.
Due to the current Corona situation, the EU transport ministers decided to hold the meeting as a virtual conference. Andreas Scheuer was enthusiastic about the fact that the European conference of transport ministers overcame the Corona restrictions by connecting Passau, Berlin and the capitals of all of Europe via an online conference. This gave the opportunity to show the innovation location Passau throughout Europe. According to Söder, Passau offers innovative research work, excellent research centers and an ideal breeding ground for startups. The transport ministers were able to get an idea of this during a virtual tour of the exhibition at the University of Passau. Scheuer himself was on-site in Passau to discuss the opportunities and trends for the future with regional partners and researchers personally.
In addition, selected representatives from research, education and business were invited to visit the event. AKE employees took the opportunity to expand their network, deepen their knowledge and gain insight into innovative research approaches.
