A perfect sound design without annoying background noises in the vehicle interior has always been a quality feature for vehicles. Last but not least, the trend towards e-mobility has contributed to vehicles becoming ever quieter. The subject of squeak and rattle prevention is becoming increasingly important.

In addition to test stands for squeak and rattle analyzes, AKE technologies offers so-called anti-friction coating (AFC) systems for eliminating interfering noises. Dry sliding films applied by coating systems open up a wide range of possible uses, for which we always find the perfect solution together with customers and partners. With in-depth know-how and many years of experience, we ensure material compatibility, the reduction of friction and wear, cleanliness and a long service life.

AKE's AFC systems guarantee efficient coating of vehicle components thanks to the reproducible, process-optimized coating process without overspray. The integrated cleaning station with flow control ensures perfect production. Another advantage: the coating process replaces any cost-intensive manual gluing of felt tapes or similar materials and offers our customers great savings potential in part price calculation as early as the acquisition phase.

Different system concepts are implemented depending on customer requirements. The AFC standard system with 12 integrated workpiece carriers guarantees fast processing of up to 12 different component variants in a high throughput. For a small number of variants, on the other hand, we recommend the AFC rotary indexing table - a compact, cheaper solution with 4 integrated workpiece carriers.
The AFC clip system as a special solution combines the coating process with assembly stations and is ideal for processing door panels. Fast production is ensured thanks to a robot with a clip star. This system variant also offers efficient component coating and an integrated AFC service station.
