As a partner of the automotive and supplier industry, we offer automation technology at the highest level. The innovative technology from AKE technologies is revealed in the complete MFA2 (Modular Front Architecture - Generation 2) series, also in the latest model of the family, the Mercedes-Benz GLB. With regard to the Mercedes GLB, this includes a total of five production lines for fuse carriers as well as our “Verinno” press system for processing pillar trims.
In addition to the Mercedes GLB, AKE also equips other models in the MFA2 series, such as the A- or B-Class, the CLA and the GLA. Here - in addition to the systems for fuse carriers and pillar trims - we have implemented lamination and edge folding systems for handrests and improved the sound quality through noise tests on the center console components.

Close Look - the system technology in detail
AKE standard cells for the assembly and testing of fuse carriers
The production of the fuse carriers for the Mercedes MFA2 series takes place on a total of 5 systems in the
AKE standard cell concept, partly on combination systems for the production of different component variants. The assembly concept enables the combination of manual and automatic processing stations. Complete data acquisition and process monitoring ensure the traceability of the production data for the individual components. Various processes are integrated into the production lines, such as fitting the carrier plates with fuses by pick and place, hot caulking and ultrasonic riveting processes, clinching of current-carrying components, laser marking and end-of-line testing of the finished components.
The AKE Verinnos for edge folding of pillar trims and hand rests
High-quality processing is particularly important in the interior - the look and feel of the components are decisive for the driver's perception of quality. AKE supplies a wide variety of systems for processing components from the vehicle interior of the MFA2 series. With the
Verinno press system from AKE and the associated quick-change tools, the edge folding and laminating processes for pillar trims and hand rests are 100% without reworking. AKE offers the technology for processing fabric, leather and Alcantara.
"Quality lies in Quietness!" - Test stands for Squeak and Rattle testing
Drivers are extremely sensitive to disturbing background noises in the interior. In the latest Mercedes series, the Squeak and Rattle analyzes on our patented
High Power Shaker were used to test the compartment with sliding blind in the center console. These components are particularly susceptible to interfering noises - thanks to AKE technologies, problem areas were identified and rectified as early as the vehicle's development phase.
