Pupils from the St. Nikola and Hutthurm secondary schools were given an exclusive insight into the world of automation solutions. 45 interested young people from Years 8 and 9 spent a morning at the two company locations to familiarize themselves with our various apprenticeships.
The day began with an informative introduction to the company and the five apprenticeships: Cutting machine operator, industrial mechanic, IT specialist, technical product designer and electronics technician for industrial engineering. After this theoretical foundation, the students had the opportunity to gain practical experience under the guidance of our experienced AKE trainers.
They were able to try out various activities, including wiring an operating unit, assembling a pneumatic model, designing a machine in 3D and drawing in 2D, as well as moving robots.
The special idea behind these days was not only to tell the young people about the professions in theory, but also to show them in practice what everyday working life is like, what tasks they will face and what exciting opportunities the various professions offer.
We are delighted that so many young people took up the offer again this year, and hope that we were able to answer all their questions in detail.
