"As an owner-managed company, social responsibility and support for our region is particularly important to us. When we heard about the new project of the Tiefenbach forest kindergarten, it was immediately clear that we wanted to give the kindergarten a helping hand!", says AKE Managing Director Boris Schneidhuber.
The forest kindergarten in Tiefenbach is affectionately called "Wakiti". There are now 20 children enrolled here and they spend most of their time in the great outdoors or, in bad weather, in their little tepee.
Now a new trailer is to be built as a place of retreat, reports board member Johanna Held. In addition, educational events in small groups are to take place in the trailer at a later date. Donors are still being sought for the project.
When we arrived at the forest kindergarten last Friday for the handover of donations, we were thrilled. With the light snowfall, the place looks like a small Winder-Wonderland. Warmly wrapped up, the Waktitis come to meet us. They have just cooked pumpkin soup over a campfire in their tepee, the little ones report. You can literally see how happy the children feel here.
Managing Director Bernhard König: "This forest kindergarten is a great thing. We are delighted to be able to help create the trailer as a new place for the Wakitis to relax and learn!"
We are providing €12,000 to the Tiefenbach Forest Kindergarten for the new trailer. In addition, we also want to help with the first steps of the construction. We are excited about what the team of the forest kindergarten around the director Petra Schweighofer has already created and look forward to the new project!
